Commercial
Solar PV
If you have spare roof space, then Solar PV is often a fantastic addition to lower your ongoing energy costs.

We specialise in systems up to around 1MW and can handle all aspects of the process from survey through to design/planning/installation and on going maintenance. We don't subcontract work, we use our own team to ensure quality is maintained.

If you have an existing system and your installer has stopped trading, we can take over the system for you and provide ongoing support.

We're fully transparent with our approach, we start with your needs, its not unheard of us talking ourselves out of a sale because a solution/idea doesn't fit the business need of the client!

Domestic Solar PV
Its no surprise there are a large number of domestic solar installers in the marketplace, often at very competitive prices with set packages.

We don't work like that.

We start by looking at your requirements, your usage, expectations and space available. Only then, armed with facts, can we design a system for you.

We work with a number of manufacturers but only install equipment we know is robust, expandable and will stand the test of time.

We also offer ongoing maintenance packages to ensure your system continues to perform for many years into the future.

Servicing and Mainenance
Its a myth that Solar PV is maintenance free. Panels need regular cleaning at the very least. Dirty panels can reduce performance by around 30%.
​
The Electrical install also needs inspection, DC cable faults can be a considerable fire risk as can damaged panels.
​
Inverters and other control systems also require firmware upgrades just like software updates on your devices at home.
​

Off Grid Backup Solutions
Its a bit of a myth that solar will work when the grid supply fails. We often meet frustrated solar owners who weren't explained this by the installer.
​
There are ways around it. If it is a new install then we can design backup solutions to work with battery storage and/or generators. If you already have in install in place then there are often solutions we can put in place using automatic changeover systems or through upgrading elements of your installation.
​
We can also design fully off grid solutions, from homes to islands !
Battery Storage
Adding battery storage to your Solar PV array can be an excellent way to make best use of the energy produced. It allows you to store energy for use in the evenings and overnight.
​
Two main types of system are available, DC coupled (where batteries are connected directly to your inverter) and AC coupled where the batteries are connected to the main electrical supply. Each have their own pros/cons and decisions will come down to the specifics of your installation.

If you already have a Solar PV system and receive FIT (Feed In Tariff) payments then we wouldn't recommend fitting batteries.
